Nichols College Athletics Hall of Fame
Palmerino was a four-year member of the soccer program and three-year member of the softball program at Nichols. She started 71 of the 72 matches she appeared in on the pitch and recorded 16 points (6-4-16) from the midfield and defense positons. On the diamond, Palmerino ranks No. 3 in single-season stolen bases (19 in 2007) and No. 6 in career steals with 29 at the time of her induction.

As a freshman soccer student-athlete in 2004, Palmerino started 18 of the 19 matches she appeared in and helped Nichols post an 11-5-3 mark and advance to the CCC Semifinal round. She started all 17 matches the following year and notched the game-winning goal against UNE on September 17, 2005. In 2006, Palmerino notched a career-high seven points (3-1-7) while starting all 18 matches.

She capped her stellar career by starting all 18 matches as a senior and notching six points (2-2-6) – including the game-winning goal against Eastern Nazarene on October 8. For her efforts, Palmerino was a Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Honorable Mention pick as a midfielder and the college’s Most Outstanding Female Senior Athlete in 2007.

Palmerino’s best softball season came in 2007, when she batted .298 with 19 runs scored, 11 RBI, and 19 steals on 20 attempts (95 percent success rate) on the diamond. Her three-year softball totals read like this: .268 average, 77 hits, 50 runs, six doubles, three triples, two home runs, 30 RBI, and 28 steals.
