DeLuca is a two-time CCC Player of the Year who graduated as the program’s all-time leader in singles (65) and doubles (62) wins. The Mashpee, Mass. native helped the Bison to three-straight conference championships & NCAA Tournament appearances.

DeLuca’s 1.000 winning percentage as a freshman in singles play (21-0) is still a program-record, and he dropped just two sets all season. He went on to earn TCCC Player and Rookie of the Year honors, and was named to the First Team in both singles and doubles.

He appeared in just five matches in 2010-11 and received a hardship waiver, allowing him to compete for three more seasons. DeLuca was a CCC Honorable Mention the following season, going 8-0 in singles play against conference foes. He scored key wins in both singles and doubles against Roger Williams in the conference championship match, and also against Marywood in the First Round of the NCAA Tournament.

In 2012-13, DeLuca would again garner First Team honors in both singles and doubles, posting an 18-2 record in singles play and a 19-5 mark in doubles competition. Fifteen of his 18 singles wins came in straight sets. As a team captain in his final year of eligibility, DeLuca was named the CCC Player of the Year with a combined record of 33-2 (16-1 singles, 17-1 doubles) as Nichols captured its third-straight conference championship. For his efforts, he was again a First Team pick in singles and doubles.

During the off-season, DeLuca was a cast member of the reality television show ‘Wicked Tuna’ on National Geographic network.
