Ryan Gervais ’09 was a member of the first ECAC Northeast Championship team in program history (2008-09). A native of Chicago, Ill., Gervais ranked No. 4 in points (130) and No. 5 in goals (69) in program history, while his 25 assists as a senior was the sixth-highest single season mark at the time of his induction.

Gervais notched 30 points in 27 games as a freshman (17-13-30) and led the Bison with four short-handed tallies. He racked up nine multi-point games, highlighted by a five-point effort (3-2-5) at Franklin Pierce (Jan. 21). Gervais also struck twice against the Ravens (Dec. 3) and Suffolk (Feb. 19). The Bison won 18 games in his first year in Dudley and advanced to the ECAC Northeast Semifinals.

Gervais was nearly a point-per-game student-athlete in conference play as a sophomore, picking up 14 points (8-6-14) in 15 games as the Bison returned to the playoffs for the second-straight year. He finished the season with 21 points (9-12-21) and was an ECAC Northeast Academic All-Conference Team selection.

As a junior, Gervais racked up a career-high 41 points (22-19-41) – which was good for second on the Bison and sixth in the conference. His 22 goals, meanwhile, was No. 2 in the conference. He notched a hat trick against both Stonehill (Nov. 17) and Worcester St. (Jan. 20), and recorded four 4-point efforts in 2007-08, highlighted by a five-point game (1-4-5) at Franklin Pierce (Dec. 5).

That same season, Gervais potted the OT winner against Suffolk on February 16 and later netted the GWG in the ECAC Quarterfinals against Becker (March 1). His efforts propelled the Bison to the first 20-win season in program history and a berth in the ECAC Northeast Championship contest.

Gervais capped his stellar career by helping the Bison post a 25-4-0 mark as a senior in 2008-09, culminating in the program’s first ECAC Northeast Championship and berth in the NCAA Tournament. He registered 38 points in 29 games (13-25-38) and posted 13 multi-point games, including an eight-game point streak which saw him accumulate 15 points (4-11-15) during that span. Gervais dished out two assists in a semifinal win over Fitchburg State before posting a goal and an assist in the championship game against Wentworth, a 4-3 win.
