Clinton was a four-year member of the field hockey program who ranked No. 1 in assists (37), No. 2 in points (125), No. 4 in goals (44), and No. 7 in shots (309) at the time of her induction. A four-time The Commonwealth Coast Conference (TCCC) All-Conference honoree, Clinton garnered TCCC Rookie of the Year honors in 2007.

Clinton completed her freshman campaign tied for second in TCCC in both assists (11) and game-winning goals (four), and third in both goals (17) and points (45). She helped the Bison post a 16-7 mark and earn a spot in the conference championship game before their season ended in the Second Round of the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Tournament. Clinton picked up her first collegiate hat trick in a win over Salve Regina (Oct. 24) and collected two goals and two assists at Regis (MA) (Sept. 22).

As a sophomore, Clinton notched 22 points (8-6-22) and helped the Bison earn a spot in TCCC playoffs. She posted a season-high five points (2-1-5) against Becker (Oct. 7) and Anna Maria (Oct. 11). The following year, Clinton dished out a career-high and CCC-leading 13 assists as the Bison captured their first TCCC Championship and advanced to the NCAA Tournament. She was credited with a pair of assists in a 5-0 win over Gordon in the quarterfinals before wins over UNE (3-1) in the semifinals and New England College (4-1) in the championship landed them a home NCAA First Round game against MIT – the first in program history.

Clinton – who was named to TCCC Second Team as a sophomore and junior – claimed First Team honors as a senior, when she picked up 30 points (12-6-30) as NC posted a 13-5 mark and advanced to TCCC Semifinals. Clinton collected a career-high seven points (3-1-7) in a win over the Pride (Sept. 18) and had three 2-goal games: Anna Maria (Oct. 9), Fitchburg St. (Oct. 14), and New England College (Oct. 16).
