Nichols College Athletics Hall of Fame
Innis appeared in 75 games during his four-year career at Nichols (1967-70) and scored 1,082 points, which was No. 3 in program history when he graduated.
He arrived in Dudley in the fall of 1967 and played in 20 games. He shot 43 percent from the field and 74 percent from the charity stripe to finish with a scoring average of 14.7 ppg. As a sophomore, Innis averaged a career-best 5.2 rebounds while averaging 14.2 ppg in 19 games.
After averaging 10.9 ppg as a junior, Innis posted a career-best scoring average of 17.5 ppg as a senior and shot 85.6 percent from the free throw line – a number which still stands as the eighth-best percentage in program history.
