Nichols College Athletics Hall of Fame
Wolcott played center on the 1948 Nichols College football team and received the Class of 1933 Trophy, which is awarded annually to the 'student outstanding in athletics and scholarship.' He went on to be named to the All-American Junior College Football Team by the National Junior College Athletic Association, according to a notice received by then-Director of Athletics Hal Chalmers.
Upon graduating from previously named Nichols Junior College of Business Administration and Executive Training, Wolcott spent the 1949 campaign as a member of the University of Connecticut football program, helping them post a 4-4-1 record (2-0 Yankee Conference). A 1944 graduate of Westfield High School who later majored in business at UConn, he went on serve in the 4th Infantry of the United States Army before passing away at the age of 49 in 1975.
