Nichols College Athletics Hall of Fame
A three-year member of the football program, Button was named to the Worcester Area Football Association First Team in 2001, 2002, and 2003, and closed his career with 162 tackles.

Button appeared in all 10 games during the 2001 season, when the Bison posted a 6-4 record. He collected 41 tackles (15 solo), nine tackles for loss (TFL), and four sacks. Button notched a season-high 10 tackles to go along with one sack in a 21-13 win at Curry on September 29.

The following season, Button picked up 55 tackles (25 solo), 12 TFL, and three sacks. He garnered New England Football Conference (NEFC) Honor Roll accolades following an 11-tackle, two-sack performance against Bridgewater State on Sept. 14. In the spring, Button received the William Horrigan-Bud Sessions Award for Outstanding Male Sophomore Athlete at Nichols College.

As a senior, Button received NEFC Second Team honors and was twice named to the NEFC Honor Roll. He registered 66 tackles (27 solo), seven TFL, and three sacks in 10 games. Button once again wreaked havoc against the Colonels to the tune of 10 tackles, 1.5 TFL, and one fumble recovery on October 18, this coming weeks after a picking up eight tackles and one tack at Salve Regina.

At the time of his induction, Button appeared in the top 10 in several career categories at Nichols, including sacks (No. 7), forced fumbles (t-No. 4), and fumble recoveries (No. 4).
