One of the most decorated student-athletes in the history of Nichols College, Sheehan graduated as the all-time leading scorer in men’s basketball program history with 2,106 points. He is one of just three student-athletes to reach the 2,000-point mark, joining Marcos Echevarria ’19 (2,519 points) and Billy Collins ’95 (2,014 points).

A native of North Attleboro, Mass., Sheehan was a three-time Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Player of the Year (2012-14), the CCC Rookie of the Year in 2010-11, and the CCC Player and Senior Scholar-Athlete of the Year in 2013-14. He was named to both the CCC Academic All-Conference Team and the CoSIDA Division III Academic All-District 1 Team three times (2012-14), culminating with an Academic All-America First Team selection as a junior (2012-13) and Second Team selection as a senior (2013-14).

Sheehan was named the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Division III New England & D3hoops.com Rookie of the Year in 2010-11 after leading the conference in scoring (20.1 ppg). For his efforts, he also garnered second team all-conference honors and was a D3hoops.com Northeast Region Third Team pick.

He became the third student-athlete in Nichols College history to reach the 1,000-point mark in just two seasons as a sophomore, doing so in a loss at Salve Regina in the CCC Semifinals. As a junior, Sheehan picked up three CCC Player of the Week honors and finished 13th in the nation in scoring at 22.2 ppg, recording six 30-point games during the 2012-13 campaign.

Sheehan was named a finalist for the Jostens Trophy as a senior, which is awarded to the best student-athlete in men’s basketball at the Division III level, after leading the Bison to a then program-record 23 wins and the first of six-straight CCC Regular Season Championships. Sheehan finished third in the conference in scoring (18.3 ppg) and established single-season school records for free throws made (158) and attempted (193) – records which still stand today.

A member of both the Zeta Alpha Phi Honor Society and Chi Alpha Sigma National College Athlete Honor Society, Sheehan served as President of the Student Athlete Advisory Committee as a senior.
