Nichols College welcomes and encourages guests on campus during athletics events. Guests are permitted to congregate in small groups in safe locations and engage in certain "tailgating" activities including the consumption of food and non-alcoholic beverages before and after athletic events. As a blanket campus policy, grills are not permitted on campus unless part of a supervised and sanctioned event. In addition, the consumption or possession of alcoholic beverages is not permitted as part of these "tailgating" activities and is not permitted at any Nichols Athletics event.
While the general policy prohibits the use of grills and the consumption or possession of alcoholic beverages, there are several times per year in which these tailgating activities will be permitted in conjunction with Nichols Athletics events. Some examples include…
- Beginning in the Fall of 2017, Nichols Athletics began offering a fee-based tailgating opportunity on the Tanyard Road endzone of Vendetti Field during selected football games.
