Men’s Tennis to be Hosted by No. 1 Roger Williams for CNE Championship

DUDLEY, Mass. (4/30/2026) - The Nichols College men's tennis team are now set to compete in the Conference of New England (CNE) Championship following their 4-2 win against No. 3 seeded Endicott College on Tuesday. No. 1 Roger Williams University will host the Bison tomorrow at 4:00 PM on the RWU Tennis Courts, the game was moved from Saturday due to forecasted weather concerns.

The Bison boast a positive win record against Roger Williams University all-time, with a record of 17-13 since their first match up in 2007. The Hawks were the only conference team to defeat the Bison this season, with Nichols sustaining a 5-2 loss on RWU's home courts (3/20/2026). The last time the Bison faced RWU in a conference championship was the 2022-23 season, where men's tennis walked away with a resounding 5-0 sweep (4/28/2023).

A Win Would Mean…
  • The Bison contend for their 16th conference championship in their program history.
  • Should Nichols win, they will punch their ticket as an automatic bid in the NCAA Tournament alongside the women's team.

Nichols enters the championship with strong individual momentum, highlighted by several All-Conference selections. Freshman William Albrikes earned First Team honors in singles after posting an impressive 8-5 record, including a 7-5 mark at the No. 1 position. Alexander Snitko was named to the Third Team in singles with a team-best 12-5 record while competing across four different court positions, while fellow freshman Jodha Singh secured Third Team recognition with a 3-4 record on the season.

In doubles play, Rodolfo Hernandez and Albrikes were selected to the Second Team after finishing 6-2 overall, including an unbeaten mark at the No. 1 spot. Felipe Gonzalez and freshman Ezra Raphael added to the honors with a Third Team selection in doubles, compiling a 6-3 record on the year.

Nichols will look to bounce back against the Hawks in a rematch for their regular season loss.
