2026 Men's Tennis Season Rewind

DUDLEY, Mass. (6/23/2026) - The 2025-26 Nichols College men's tennis team continued its reputation as one of the top programs in the Conference of New England (CNE), piecing together another standout season while advancing to the conference championship match for the fifth consecutive season.

Nichols, under the guidance of first-year head coach Javier Godoy Gomis, finished the campaign with a 12-7 overall record , which included a dominant 10-1 mark in conference play, winning nine of its final 14 dual matches. After opening the year with a 7-0 sweep of Salve Regina, the Bison found their stride during conference play, posting decisive victories over Gordon (6-1), Suffolk (7-0), Colby-Sawyer (4-3), Western New England (5-2), Curry (7-0), Endicott (6-1), the University of Hartford (6-1), the University of Saint Joseph (7-0), Wentworth (7-0), and the University of New England (6-1), earning themselves the No. 2 seed in the CNE Championship Tournament.

The Bison showcased impressive depth throughout the lineup, compiling a 75-58 singles record and a 30-27 mark in doubles play during dual-match competition. Freshman William Albrikes emerged as one of the conference's top newcomers, earning First Team All-CNE honors in singles after posting an 8-5 overall record, including a 7-5 mark at the No. 1 position. Sophomore Alexander Snitko earned Third Team All-CNE recognition in singles following a team-best 12-5 record, while freshman Jodha Singh also garnered Third Team All-CNE accolades.

In doubles play, the tandem of Albrikes and sophomore Rodolfo Hernandez earned Second Team All-CNE honors after posting a 6-2 record and remaining unbeaten in No. 1 doubles competition during the regular season. Felipe Gonzalez and freshman Ezra Raphael rounded out the postseason recognition, earning Third Team All-CNE honors in doubles after going 6-3 on the season, while junior Josh Alarcon was also recognized for his accomplishments in the classroom, receiving the CNE's Elite 21 Award.

In postseason competition, Nichols received the bye into the Semifinal Round as the No. 2 seed, where they defeating No. 3 seed Endicott, 4-2, at home on the Robinson Tennis Courts, reserving their spot in the CNE title match. However, the Bison came up just short in the hunt of what would have been the program's 15th conference title, following a 4-0 loss to top-seeded Roger Williams in the final match.
