DUDLEY, Mass. – The top-seeded Nichols College men's tennis team will host No. 4-seed Endicott College in a Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Semifinal match on Wednesday, May 2 at 3:00 p.m. at the Robinson Tennis Courts.

The Bison and Gulls are meeting for the 24th time in program history and Nichols leads the all-time series, 19-4, with the Bison having won 13-straight in the series dating back to 2010. The two teams have met in the CCC Tournament five times, including in the CCC Semifinals in 2015 and 2016, and the Bison are 5-0 all-time in the postseason against the Gulls. Nichols defeated Endicott 5-0 in their lone matchup earlier this season on March 25.
Nichols enters the tournament at 17-3 overall and posted an unblemished 8-0 mark in conference play this season to earn a first round bye directly into the CCC Semifinals. The Bison had won 16-straight matches entering last week before dropping a non-league showdown with Coast Guard last Tuesday. Nichols is in search of its seventh-straight CCC Championship and looks to advance to the Championship match for the eighth-straight season.
Endicott earned the CCC's third seed after going 11-7 overall and 5-3 in the CCC this season. The Gulls advanced to the CCC Semifinals by downing cross-town rival Gordon, 5-2, in the CCC Quarterfinals on Saturday afternoon. The Gulls took a 2-1 lead following doubles play and then got singles wins from sophomore Charles Book and junior Keaton McCleary before senior Christopher Kirkpatrick sealed the win with a victory at No. 1 singles.

Guilherme Barbosa and
Brandon Howard, who were both named to the First Team All-CCC Singles squad. Junior
Blake Norton earned a spot on the Second Team All-CCC Singles Team and freshman
Brandon Stewart was named to the Third Team All-CCC Singles Team. Norton and freshman
August Moeller were both named to the First Team All-CCC Doubles Team, while Barbosa and classmate
Peter Coletti were named Third Team All-CCC Doubles.
Endicott is led by CCC Rookie of the Year in freshman Daniel Rinkert, who was also named to the Third Team All-CCC Singles Team. Kirkpatrick was named to the First Team All-CCC Singles Team and teamed with McCleary to be named to the Second Team All-CCC Doubles squad. Sophomore Thomas Brent also earned All-Conference recognition, grabbing a spot on the Third Team All-CCC Singles Team.
The winner of Wednesday's match will advance to the Commonwealth Coast Conference Championship match scheduled for Saturday, May 5. They will take on the winner of the other Semifinal matchup between No. 2-seed Eastern Nazarene and No. 3-seed Roger Williams which will also take place on Wednesday afternoon.
