ORLANDO, Fla. – The Nichols College men's tennis team picked up a 9-0 victory over McDaniel College on Thursday afternoon at the IMG Academy in Orlando, Fla.
 
The Bison improve to 2-2 overall and return to action tomorrow afternoon with matches against Curry (11:30 a.m.) and Hamilton (5:00 p.m.). The Green Terror fall to 3-4 with the setback.
 
Nichols cruised through doubles play as sophomore Guilherme Barbosa and sophomore Peter Coletti posted an 8-0 win at No. 2 doubles over freshman Albert Burker and freshman Jimmy Wawrynski. Sophomore Brandon Howard and junior Igor Markowski followed with an 8-0 sweep at No. 3 doubles over junior Tate Myers and sophomore Justin Arter, while junior Blake Norton and freshman August Moeller registered an 8-5 win over senior Will Giles and freshman Luke Shuck at No. 1 doubles.
 
Junior Kirill Ivanov and freshman Nicola Bezada posted matching 6-0, 6-0 wins at No. 4 and No. 6 singles, respectively, over Wawrynski and Arter. Barbosa and sophomore Jack Donaldson added matching 6-1, 6-0 victory at No. 1 and No. 3 singles over Giles and Burker, while August Moeller registered a 6-2, 6-3 win over Shuck at No. 2 singles. Freshman Baylen Harper rounded out the sweep with a 7-5, 6-3 win at No. 5 singles over Tate Myers.
