MIDDLEBURY, Vt. – The Nichols College men's tennis team competed at the 2017 ITA Regional Championships at Middlebury College on Friday afternoon.
 
In singles play, sophomore Guilherme Barbosa (Bradenton, Fla.) dropped a 6-4, 7-6 (4) decision to Wheaton sophomore Jorge Aguirre Martinez (Madrid, Spain), while sophomore Brandon Howard (Hamden, Conn.) fell in straight sets to Middlebury junior Noah Farrell (Wilton, Conn.), 6-0, 6-0.
 
In doubles action, Barbosa and Howard fell to the Bates duo of junior Josh Quijano (Los Angeles, Calif.) and sophomore Nick Glover (Austin, Texas), 8-4.
