DUDLEY, Mass. – The Nichols College men's tennis team claimed three flight championships as part of the Nichols College Invitational (NCI) Sunday afternoon at the Robinson Tennis Courts.

The NCI consisted of the Bison along with Springfield College, Clark (MA), and Colby-Sawyer.

Freshman
August Moeller (Hellerup, Denmark) took the Singles C Flight Championship after knocking off Zack Keene from Springfield 6-4, 6-0 in the first round before defeating Ross Kenney of Colby-Sawyer 7-5, 6-2 in the final.

The Bison claimed both the A and B Doubles flights while both finals consisted of two Nichols doubles teams. Junior
Igor Markowski (Paris, France) and sophomore
Peter Coletti (Beverly, Mass.) defeated freshman
Brandon Stewart and sophomore
Brandon Howard (Hamden, Conn.), 8-6, to claim the Doubles A Flight.

Kiril Ivanov (Moscow, Russia) and
Aidan Stuart (Orange, Conn.) took down sophomore teammates
Supakrit Boonsoong (Chestnut Hill, Mass.) and
Jack Donaldson (Easton, Md.), 9-8 (3) to claim the Doubles B Flight Championship.

In other invitational action, junior
Blake Norton (Stratford, Conn.) fell to Springfield's Alex Romaine in the Singles A Flight Championship 6-4, 6-1 while Colby-Sawyer's Alex Wright got the best of Springfield's Court Honda, 6-4, 6-2, in the Singles B Flight Championship.

Guilherme Barbosa (Bradenton, Fla.) fell in the Singles B Flight consolation final 6-3, 0-6, 10-8 to Clark (MA)'s Lenny Siegel.

Chase Pierce (Cumberland, R.I.) and freshman
Sean Nutter defeated teammates junior
Chris Chardon (Franconia, N.H.) and freshman
Brendan Stierli, 8-5, in the final of the Doubles B Flight consolation final to round out the play of the Bison on the day.
