DUDLEY, Mass. (April 19) – The Nichols College men's tennis team ran its win streak to 11 matches with a speedy 9-0 home victory over Western New England University in Commonwealth Coast Conference action Thursday afternoon. The Bison, who surrendered just six points to the Golden Bears, boost their record to 12-3 overall and a perfect 5-0 in CCC matches. Western New England dips to 6-7 overall and evens out at 3-3 in the CCC.

Nichols got a quick jump on the doubles wins, seeing Justin DeLuca and Isiah Prosper cruise to an 8-0 win in less than 45 minutes at the third flight. Brandon Roode and Steve Carella were the next to finish at the top flight with an 8-2 victory, and were followed by the second doubles pair of Arsen Gasparyan and David Drucker who didn't drop a game in their ninth-straight win.

Paul Healy, Prosper and DeLuca all won their singles matches without dropping a game. Prosper's win marked the 11th in a row. Carella clinched the match at fourth singles with a 6-1, 6-0 victory.  Dan Saucier posted a 6-1, 6-1 win at the fifth spot and Roode finished out the win with a 6-1, 6-0 top flight victory.

Nichols hosts Curry Friday at 4 p.m. for Andrew Haas Appreciation Day. Western New England hosts Salve Regina Saturday in a noon CCC match.
