ORLANDO, Fla. (Mar. 14) – The Nichols College men's tennis team was edged by Lawrence University, 5-4, Monday morning in Florida. The Bison were down, 2-1, after doubles, with all three flights separated by just two points. Piotr Pietruczuk and Ari Vieira got the lone doubles point with an 8-6 third flight victory. Both won their singles matches, too, as Pietruczuk picked up a 6-4, 6-0 fifth flight win, and Vieira was a 6-1, 6-1 winner at the sixth spot. Nichols is off Tuesday and resumes action in Florida Wednesday with a match against Division I Siena College.
