DUDLEY, Mass. (March 24) – The Nichols College men's tennis team opened up its conference schedule with an 8-1 victory over Western New England College at the Pomfret School Wednesday afternoon. The Bison improve to 5-5 overall, while the Golden Bears dip to 2-5. Nichols led, 3-0, after doubles, dropping a combined five games in the three matches. Tyler McLaughlin (Hollis, N.H.) and Justin DeLuca (Mashpee, Mass.) combined for an 8-3 win at top doubles, and both won in their singles spots – DeLuca with a 6-1, 6-0 win at the top flight, and McLaughlin with a 6-0, 7-6 (7-2) win at fifth singles. Nichols continues TCCC action at Salve Regina in a 1 p.m. match Saturday.
