DUDLEY, Mass. (8/24/2026) - After a record-setting 2025-26 campaign, the Nichols College women's golf team enters the 2026-27 season with momentum and confidence as the program continues its rise in the Conference of New England.
Coming off a year that featured multiple program-best performances and a pair of third-place finishes at the inaugural Conference of New England Championship and NEIGA Championship, the Bison will look to build upon their most successful season to date. Second-year head coach Don Lemieux returns to guide the Bison as Nichols looks to continue its upward trajectory in the program's fourth season. The Bison established new standards throughout last year, including program records for both single-round and two-round team scoring, as well as their notable third-place finishes out of six teams at the CNE Championship, and 10 programs at the NEIGA Championship.
"I'm really excited about what this group is capable of this season," said Lemieux. "Last year showed us what we can accomplish, but our focus now is on continuing to improve, competing every time we step on the course and taking the next step as a program."
Leading the way is junior Isabella Fleury, who returns after a standout sophomore campaign. Fleury paced Nichols with an 86.1 scoring average, earned CNE Second Team All-Conference recognition and claimed the first medalist victory of her collegiate career at the Bison Spring Invitational. She also carded a career-low round of 80 during the season and finished eighth at the inaugural CNE Championship. With Fleury returning to anchor an experienced group, Nichols will also welcome four newcomers to the program this fall, rounding out what will be their deepest roster in their history.
The Bison return to action with their home invitational on Tuesday, September 8th at Dudley Hill Golf Club.Â
