Don Lemieux was announced as the next head coach of the Nichols men's and women's golf programs on July 29th, 2025.

In his first campaign at the helm of the two programs, Lemieux made an immediate impact. For the men, the team opened the season with a third-place finish at the 6th Annual ECSU Warrior Invitational, which included medalist honors from senior Cameron Desante with a program record 137 (-3) performance, with the team carding an overall score of 596 (+36). The team later claimed the team medal at the Westfield State Brett Williamson Invitational (9/23), where the team shot a 15-over 299 for the victory, with two Bison (Cameron Desante & Nick White) sharing individual medalist honors. For the Bison women, the team went to work early on with a runner-up finish at the Westfield State Invitational (9/14) with a single-round score of 356 (+72), with junior newcomer Felicia Zander placing tied for runner-up at nine-over 80 on the day. In what was just their third season as a program, the team also claimed 3rd place out of six programs at the Inaugural CNE Women's Golf Championship with a 750 (+190), and also took third out of 10 programs at the NEIGA Championship (10/18-10/19) at 154-over 730.
To cap of the Lemieux's first season, both programs also claimed the team medal at the home Bison Spring Invitational on April 21st, with Nick White (73 - +1) and Isabella Fleury (83 - +11) taking the win for their respective sides.

Additionally, the 2025-26 season saw women's golf land its first ever CNE postseason honors; Katie Baca (2025 Scholar Athlete of the Year), Isabella Fleury (CNE Elite 21 Award, All-CNE Second Team), and Felicia Zander (All-CNE Second Team). For the men, Jacob Andreozzi was the lone recipient of postseason laudits as a member of the 2025 CNE Community Service Team.

A native of Thompson, Connecticut, Lemieux graduated from Mitchell College in 2004 with a bachelor’s degree in sport management. Throughout that time, he was also a four-sport athlete for the Mariners, participating in soccer, basketball, baseball, and golf. After graduation, he made his first stop in minor league baseball as a groundskeeper, working with notable teams like the Worcester Tornadoes, Bridgeport Bluefish, Long Island Ducks. His groundskeeping work then brought him to the Pawtucket Red Sox in 2012 as a facilities manager, where he was part of their eventual International League Championship campaign.

In 2021, Lemieux graduated from the MPTC Plymouth Police Academy and currently serves as a police officer and drone pilot for the Sutton Police Department. He lives locally with his wife Lisa, a 2004 Nichols graduate and former softball and field hockey coach, and their four kids.
