BEVERLY, Mass. (10/15/2026) - Just days after the 2026 Conference of New England Women's Golf Championship, Nichols' Delaney Giesen earned Second Team All-Conference honors from the CNE, as announced by the league office on Thursday afternoon.

Giesen becomes the fourth player in program history to garner All-Conference recognition, and is the lone Bison on the list for 2026.

Up to this point in the season, the Bison newcomer currently holds an 84.5 scoring average through four rounds played, which ranks as the lowest average throughout the lineup.  Giesen delivered her lowest round of the fall at the program's Bison Fall Invitational, where she won the individual medal with a 77 (+5) on the day, additionally setting a program record for lowest single-round score by a player. Then, in her next appearance, she delivered an 83 (+12) at the Albertus Magnus Fall Invitational at New Haven Country Club, landing herself in a three-way tie for the individual medal, and chalking up her second victory of the season.

Her pair of medals this fall is also the most for a single season in program history.

Most recently, Giesen led Nichols with a tie for seventh place at the CNE Championship, finishing with a two-round total of 178 (+34). After opening with a 97 (+25), Giesen fired an impressive second-round 81 (+9), shaving 16 strokes off her first-round score to lead the Bison's improvement on the final day.

Giesen and the Bison have one tournament left this fall at the NEIGA Championship this upcoming weekend, which will take place across two days at The Captains Golf Course in Brewster, Massachusetts.
