Conference of New England (CNE) Release
BEVERLY, Mass. (1/28/2026) – The Conference of New England (CNE) has released the Academic All-Conference team members for the 2025 fall season. In all, 927 student-athletes across the 11 full-time institutions, alongside five affiliate institutions of the CNE were recognized, 73 of which represented Nichols College.
In January and June of each academic year, the Conference recognizes an Academic All-Conference Team. Each member institution is responsible for determining its qualified student-athletes. Criteria for recognition is: at least sophomore status athletically and academically with one academic year in residence at their current institution; hold a cumulative GPA of 3.3 or higher on a 4.0 scale; active member of a roster for a Conference-sponsored sport.
The January recognition covers men's and women's soccer, men's and women's cross country, men's and women's tennis, women's volleyball, field hockey, men's and women's golf, and football. The June recognition includes men's and women's basketball, men's and women's ice hockey, baseball, men's and women's lacrosse, softball, men's tennis and men's and women's track and field student-athletes.
Graduate transfers, regardless of enrollment at their current institution, are eligible. First years, freshmen and undergraduate transfers in their first semester at their current institution are not eligible.
For the Bison, football led the charge with 20 representatives, while men's soccer followed close behind with 15 student-athletes.
