The Nichols College golf team captured sixth place at the 2019 Montgomery Cup this past weekend at Concord Country Club in Pennsylvania.
Junior
Jacob Willis led the Bison and finished in a tie for 13th place at +11, shooting a 75 in round one and a 76 in round two. Classmate
John Marlborough was next for head coach
Tim Howard with a +12 – good for a share of 16th place (78-74).
Freshman
Colby Mitchell was 22nd overall (+14) while senior
TJ Barber finished tied for 31st place at +19 (83-76). Senior
Patrick Hesseltine (+25) also competed for Nichols.
Three things you need to know...
-Allegheny College (+56) finished in first place (+35), followed by host Rosemont College (+37) and University of Mary Washington (+42).
-Nathan Moore (Rosemont) was a medalist as he finished at even par, shooting a 68 on day one and 72 on day two.
-Sophomore
Brian Kallajian appeared in his first collegiate tournament for Nichols and finished +21 (82-79).
