CNE Championship Central
BLOOMFIELD, Conn. (10/5/2025) – The Nichols College men's golf team claimed a ninth-place finish in the 2025 Conference of New England (CNE) Championship this weekend, hosted by the University of Hartford at the par-72, 6,782-yard Tumble Brook Golf Course.
Over the two-day tournament, the Bison went 319-325 to finish at 644 (+68), just one stroke behind eighth place finisher Wentworth Institute of Technology (643). Hartford was crowned CNE Champions as the top finishing team on their home course, finishing with a team score of 593 (+17).
Senior
Jacob Andreozzi led the Bison through the weekend, tallying two birdies and 18 pars to end the tournament in a tie for 23
rd individually at 160 (+16), scoring 80 (+8) in both rounds. Classmate
Cameron Desante was close behind, as was junior
Brady Salah, as the Bison duo landed in a four-way tie for 25
th, each carding scores of 161 (+17) throughout.
Junior
Nick White was also consistent over the weekend, carding matching 81 (+9) scores in both rounds to claim a tie for 29
th at 162 (+18). Freshman
Owen Shearer rounded out the Bison lineup with a twelve-over par in the final round to move his overall score to 166 (+22), placing himself in a tie for 38
th place.
The fall campaign continues for the Bison, as they turn right back around for the Battle at Bulls Bridge in South Kent, Connecticut, hosted by the University of Hartford at Bulls Bridge Golf Course.
