SOUTH KENT, Conn. (10/7/2025) – The Nichols men's golf team nabbed a sixth-place finish at Tuesday's Battle at Bulls Bridge tournament, hosted by the University of Hartford at the par-72 Bulls Bridge Golf Club.
The Bison carded a 91-over 379 on the day, while the host Hawks claimed the team medal at 17-over 305.
The Bison worked a different lineup for the Tuesday tournament, with junior
Drew Barrett leading the way in a tie for 18
th individually at 14-over 86. His performance included three total birdies throughout the round, as well as an eagle on the par-five sixth hole. Next in line for Nichols was freshman
Tyler Labonte, who carded a 94 (+22) to finish 28
th in his collegiate debut, while classmate
Logan Rawson took 29
th at 25-over 97 in his second outing of the fall.
Additionally making their first collegiate appearances on the links were freshman
Braydon Simpkins and
Luca Scatto, who claimed 32
nd and 33
rd respectively. Simpkins scored 102 (+30) on the day, while Scatto carded a 105 (+33).
The Bison will wrap up their fall campaign on October 18-19 for the NEIGA Championship, held at The Captains Golf Course in Brewster, Massachusetts.
