BREWSTER, Mass. (10/19/2025) - In a field that included 22 competing division III programs, the Nichols men's golf team concluded its fall campaign with a tie for 8
th place at the 2025 NEIGA Championship at the par-72 Captains Golf Course.
The Bison finished at 49-over 625, which drew even with Bates College and Gordon College in the team leaderboard. The University of Hartford, who recently claimed the CNE crown a few weeks back, also took the win this weekend with a 598 (+22), while fellow conference opponents Western New England (+24) and Endicott College (+29) took second and third respectively.
Senior
Cameron Desante was the top finisher for Nichols, finishing tied for 15
th at seven-over 151 for the tournament, notching seven birdies throughout. Junior
Nick White finished just one stroke behind Desante, landing himself a tie for 18
th at 152 (+8) out of the 119-player field, while shooting a team-high nine birdies.
Classmate
Brady Salah remained consistent with matching 80's (+8) in each round, and finished in a crowded seven-way tie for 55
th T-8th at 16-over 160. He was followed by senior
Jacob Andreozzi, who tied for 68
th at 163 (+19), and freshman
Owen Shearer in a tie for 81
st at 166 (+22). Both players turned in improved scores in the second round, with Andreozzi improving by seven strokes, and Shearer by eight.
The Bison will now pause until the upcoming spring campaign, with the official schedule additions, locations and times expected at a later date.
