DUDLEY, Mass. – Nichols College women's ice hockey head coach
Samantha Fallon has announced the addition of
Shannon Strawinski to the coaching staff.
Strawinski registered 91 points in 111 career games during her four-year career at Elmira (35 G, 56 A). A native of Toms River, N.J., Strawinski earned United Collegiate Hockey Conference (UCHC) Honorable Mention honors as a junior in 2017-18, establishing career-highs in goals (13), assists (21), and points (34) as the Eagles advance to the National Championship game. For her efforts, she was named to the NCAA All-Tournament Team.

Shannon Strawinski to our coaching staff here at Nichols College," said Fallon. "She brings a wealth of experience and knowledge with her from her time at Elmira and from competing in the NCAA tournament throughout her college career. We are looking forward to working with Strawinski and seeing the impact she will make on our program."
Strawinski – who worked as a game operations intern with the Elmira Enforcers of the Federal Hockey League during her senior year at Elmira – graduated this past May with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. She was named to the Eastern College Athletic Association (ECAC) West Academic All-Conference Team in 2017, the UCHC All-Academic Team in 2018, the Empire 8 President's List in both the spring and fall of 2018, and the Dean's List at Elmira in the fall and winter terms in 2018.
The Bison open the season on Friday, November 4 against Aurora at Levy Rink at 6:40 p.m.
