DUDLEY, Mass. (3/25/2026) – The 2025-26 women's ice hockey season is officially over, and there is a lot to look back on for the Bison.
In his fifth season with the Bison, Head Coach
Michael Barrett finished with a 7-18-0 overall record, including a 4-14-0 conference record. In the CNE statistic standings, his program ranked second in the CNE in power-play percentage at .202 and third in goals per game with 2.12. The Bisons' 53 goals, 2.12 goals per game, and 0.202 power play percentage are the third highest in program history.
Women's ice hockey started their season with a home-and-home series sweep against Framingham State University, winning the first game at home 3-2 before going on the road for a massive 8-1 win at the Loring Arena. In the 8-1 win away from home, both
Riley Devlin and
Kaylyn Bourque scored hat tricks, while sophomore
Kasey Litwin scored two goals to make it the third-largest margin of victory in program history. The series wins marked the first collegiate wins for goaltenders
Paige Almon and
Taylor Daley.
Nichols earned a series win against the University of New England, with the Bison earning a 3-1 win in Biddeford, Maine in the first game of the series before splitting the home-and-home series with a 2-1 overtime win on January 23rd and a 2-0 loss on January 24th. Three freshman forwards
Keira Goffe, Devlin, and Bourque combined for the three third-period goals in the 3-1 win away from home on January 10th. In the 2-1 overtime win, sophomore captain
Kerstin Ambruso became the hero of the game, scoring two goals in the final six minutes of play to push the Bison ahead of the Nor'easters.
On Valentine's Day, the program celebrated its Senior Day in a 3-2 win over Curry College. In the game, senior
Taylor Breen celebrated the day with an assist while senior goaltender
Paige Almon earned the win, making 39 saves in the game. Goffe earned two points in the game, scoring the first goal of the game before assisting the second. Goffe ended the season with 5 points against Curry College, which was her highest total against any opponent faced this season.
Individually, Goffe was tied for 4th in most goals in the CNE with 11, while fellow freshman Bourque finished in 8th with 9.
Sienna Reeves finished the season with 12 assists with an average assist per game of .48, which put her 8th in the CNE in that category. In the points category, Goffe finished in 6th with 21, and Bourque finished in 10th with 18. Goffe continues to see her name on the leaderboard, finishing in 6th for face-off winning percentage with .551, while senior
Avery Moriarty finished not far behind in 10th place with an average of .510. Three Bison finished in the top ten for blocked shots, with Reeves finishing in 3rd (59), Litwin in 8th (50), and
Rhea Bullens in 10th (41).
