SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – Freshman
Patrick Hesseltine (Westford, Mass.) earned Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Championship medalist honors Sunday afternoon as the Nichols College golf team placed third at the event, which was held at Twin Hills Country Club.

Hesseltine finished the final round of competition three-under par with a 68, which allowed him to finish the tournament at +1 (75-68-143). The Bison, meanwhile, finished 11 strokes off the lead behind first-place Endicott (+38) and 10 strokes behind Western New England (+39). Nichols recorded a team score of 617 (319-298), but shaved 21 strokes off their day one total. UNE finished fourth, 51 strokes off the lead with a team score of 668 (+100).

Nick Wage (Holden, Mass.) cut eight strokes off his day one total and finished in 10th place at +14 (82-74-156). Classmate
Caleb Tanson (Rockport, Mass.) was also eight strokes better on day one and closed the championship at +16 (83-75-158) – good for 12th place.

Dylan Casserly (Braintree, Mass.) finished the event at +19 (80-81-161) to place 14th overall. Freshman
TJ Barber (Cornish, N.H.) was a +21 (82-81-163) and earned a share of 15th place.
