ResultsSPRINGFIELD, Mass. – The Nichols College golf team placed sixth at the 2015 Western New England Invitational Thursday morning at Veterans Memorial Golf Course. The Bison finished the event +35 (323).
Senior
Kevin Wheeler (Agawam, Mass.) finished four strokes off the lead at +5 (77). Sophomore
Nick Wage (Holden, Mass.) tied for 18th place as he finished +9 (81). Sophomore
Caleb Tanson (Rockport, Mass.) was next for Nichols in a tie for 22nd place at +10 (82).
Freshman
Remy Fletcher (Billerica, Mass.) shared 24th place as he finished the day +11 (83). Classmate
Kevin Leary (Brookfield, Conn.) closed the event in a tie for 42nd place at +19 (91).
The Golden Bears won the event as they finished +20 (308). Endicott (+25) and Elms (+31) took second and third, respectively, while the Western New England 'B' team and Salem State shared fourth (+32).
The Bison compete at the Johnson & Wales (RI) Invitational April 18 and 19 at Cranston Country Club.
