SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – The Nichols College golf team finished eighth at the 2013 Western New England Invitational with a team score of 325 at Veterans Memorial Golf Course.
Freshman
Colin Whitney (Longmeadow, Mass.) finished at +4 (76) to tie for fourth place. The next closest Bison was sophomore
Kevin Wheeler (Agawam, Mass.), who was four strokes behind Wheeler with an 80 (+8). Sophomore
Jordon Kadlik (Kennebunk, Maine) finished with a score of 83 (+11) while sophomore
Nick Masciadrelli shot an 86 and senior
Matthew Quigley (Sturbridge, Mass.) shot an 89 (+17).
Endicott won the event with a team score of 309 and was led by Austin Teal, who shot two-under par (70) to win the individual crown. Western New England was second with a score of 210, followed by Elms (314), UMass-Dartmouth (317), Springfield (318), Salem St. (323), Tufts (325), Nichols, Westfield St. (333), Babson (347), and Eastern Nazarene (442).
The Bison return to action on Saturday when they compete at the Johnson & Wales Invitational.
