DUDLEY, Mass. (12/11/2025) – In their first season as a full-time member of the Conference of New England, the Nichols women's golf team made the most of the 2025 fall campaign
.
The Bison, in just their third season as a program, delivered their strongest set of performances yet with first-year head coach Don Lemieux taking the helm at the start of the fall. The action opened at the two-day Hartford Hawks Invitational at Keney Park Golf Course, where Nichols claimed 6
th with a combined score of 365 (+85), landing them ahead of fellow conference competitors Hartford, Gordon and Roger Williams.
A week later, the Bison claimed a runner-up finish at the Westfield State Invitational at Tekoa Country Club, with junior newcomer
Felicia Zander equally tying for runner-up in the individual leaderboard at 80 (+9) to lead the Bison to a single-round total of 356 (+72). That same week, Zander's performance earned her CNE Rookie of the Week honors, which was the program's first ever weekly award from the conference.
Nichols continued on to compete in the inaugural Conference of New England Women's Golf Championship, where Zander (176 - +36) and sophomore
Isabella Fleury (177 - +37) turned in top-10 finishes to help Nichols score a 3
rd place finish out of six participating teams, totaling 750 (+190) through both rounds. Nichols then repeated as 3
rd place finishers, this time out of 10 competing programs at the NEIGA Championship, with the team carding a program-best 154-over 730 in the event.
