WEST HARTFORD, Conn. (10/12/2025) - The Nichols College women's golf team completed the final day of the inaugural Conference of New England Championship on Sunday, placing third of six competing teams at the par-70 Keney Park Golf Course.
The Bison posted a 750 (+190) team score, finishing 39 strokes behind runner-up University of Hartford (+151), while Suffolk (+135) earned the honor of being the conference's first champion for women's golf.
Nichols was led a pair of top-10 finished from junior
Felicia Zander, who placed seventh at 36-over 176 (88-88), and sophomore Isabella Fluery, who finished in eighth just one stroke back of Zander at 37-over 177 (89-88). Junior
Gabrielle Maranchie improved her performance by one stroke in the closing round Sunday, earning a 15
th finish with a score of 197 (+57). Senior
Kaitlin Baca was close behind Maranchie, finishing in 16
th place with a 60-over 200, shaving four strokes off her opening round score on the closing day.
Both the team's overall performance, along with Zander's individual total, were each program records for dual round scoring.
The Bison will continue their fall campaign at the upcoming NEIGA Championship on October 18-19, which will be hosted at The Captains Golf Course in Brewster, Massachusetts.
