THOMPSON, Conn. – The Nichols men's golf team took home a second-place finish this weekend at the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Championship at Raceway Golf Club in Thompson, Conn. This marks the second year in a row that the Bison have finished second in the tournament.
Nichols finished with a team score of 614, shooting 311 (+23) in the final round on Sunday. Senior
Colby Mitchell earned a second-place spot on the individual leaderboard, finishing the tournament with scores of 70 (-2), and 77 (+5) to give him a total score of 147 (+3) for the weekend. Sophomore
Drew Stanton had the low round on Sunday for the Bison, turning in a 76 (+4).
Rounding out the scores for the Bison on Sunday were
Cameron Desante and
Luke Sargent, shooting a 78 (+6) and an 80 (+8), respectively. Desante placed second overall for the Bison and tied for fifth individually with a total score of 152 (+8). Stanton also finished inside the top 10 among individuals with a total score of 155 (+11).
Endicott took home first place, while Roger Williams and Suffolk came in at third and fourth place, respectively.
The CCC Championship concludes the season for the Bison.
