SUTTON, Mass. – The Nichols golf team competed in the Rich Korzec Invitational on Wednesday at Blackstone National Golf Course in Sutton, Mass. with two separate teams participating for the Bison.
The first team of five shot a combined score of 313, taking third place on the day, with
Colby Mitchell (t-5
th) headlining the way with a four over 76.
Drew Stanton and
Luke Sargent followed Mitchell with a 77 and a 78, respectively.
Evan Libby (82), and
Cam Desante (83) rounded out the group.
The second team competing for the Bison finished with a combined score of 304 to take second place. Junior
Jacob Cashin and freshman
Andrew Buckholz led the way for the Bison, each shooting a 75 to tie for second place individually. Junior
Jake Goldberg slated right behind them, finishing his round with a 76.
Colby Allen and
Anthony Pecci shot a 78 and an 83, respectively, to close out the group.
The Bison turn their attention to this weekend's Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Championship hosted by Nichols, at Raceway Golf Club in Thompson, Conn. The first tee time for Saturday is set for 8:00 a.m.
