MANCHESTER, N.H. — The Nichols men's and women's track & field programs continued their solid 2023 outdoor season at the Penmen Relays on Saturday afternoon at Mark A. Oullette Stadium, located on the campus of Southern New Hampshire University.

Below are the top finishers for both squads:

Women:

Graduate student Maddie Clark - finished 5th (out of 8) in the 100-meter dash finals, with a time of 12.95, setting a new Nichols record 

4 x 100 meter relay team consisting of Rajchel Smardon, Emma Noel, Jenna Condon, & Maddie Clark ran a Nichols record-setting time of 55.01

Men:

Junior Domenic Savastano - finished 2nd (out of 26) in the one mile run for the new best time in Nichols history (4:29.99)

Graduate student Jared Mason - finished 1st (out of 20) in the long jump (6.65m) and finished 3rd (out of 8) in the 100 meter dash finals (11.23)

Senior Tyler Zurowski - finished 2nd (out of 14) in the javelin throw (49.31m)

Sophomore Zachary Yarnall - finished 3rd (out of 14) in the javelin throw (47.04m)

Senior Martin Dupuy - finished 4th (out of 9) in the discus throw (35.74m), 2nd (out of 17) in the shot put (13.25m), and 3rd (out of 14m) in the hammer throw (41.01m)
 

Next up, the men's and women's track & field program will compete at the Bonnie Edmondson Classic at Eastern Connecticut State on Friday, April 21st.
