BRUNSWICK, Maine - Behind the two-day score of 154 for junior Luke Sargent, the Nichols golf team earned a seventh-place finish at the Bowdoin Invitational this weekend at Brunswick Golf Club.

The team shot a 311 on Sunday, shaving five strokes off their score from the opening round the day before to record a weekend score of 627.

Sargent had a consistent weekend, shooting 77 each day to lead the Bison on the leaderboard. The Gloucester, Mass. native used a two birdy and 26 par performance to land a top-15 finish on the weekend.

Finishing four strokes behind him were the duo of Evan Libby and Jake Goldberg, who both tied for 31st after 36 holes. Rounding out the field of Bison, Colby Mitchell and Cameron Desante each bounced back from opening round scores in the 80s, posting a 78 and 77, respectively, on Sunday.

The Bison return to action in the CCC Qualifier, which will tee off this Thursday, September 29 at Green Valley Country Club in Bristol, R.I. at 11:30 a.m.
