Colby Mitchell earned medalist honors at the FSC Spring Invitational this past weekend as the Nichols College golf team placed sixth at Bethpage State Park – Red Course.

Mitchell shot one-over par (71) on Saturday before finishing at -2 on Sunday (68) for a two-day score of 139 (-1). The Gloucester, Massachusetts native's next closer competitor finished four strokes back.
Senior
Casey Torname was next for the Bison at +16, which earned him a share of 27th place. He shot an 80 on the first day of competition before closing the event with a 76. Graduate student
Reece McLeod placed 31st for head coach
Tim Howard as he finished at +19 (74-85).
Freshman
Drew Stanton and sophomore
Luke Sargent placed 34th and 35th, respectively. Stanton shot a 79 on the first day of play before closing with an 83 while Sargent posted an 81 Saturday and an 84 Sunday.
