BREWSTER, Mass. – Nichols golf played to a 13th-place finish, recording a team score of 623 through 36 holes, at the 87th New England Intercollegiate Golf Association (NEIGA) Championships over the weekend at The Captains Golf Course. The match served as the final scheduled event for the program in the fall season.
 
Babson came away on top of the field, with a score of 579, besting Middlebury by nine strokes.
 
Nichols placed fourth out of seven Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) institutions that took place in the competition.
 
Colby Mitchell spearheaded the Bison's efforts with a top-10 finish, as the junior provided a two-day score of 147 to place T-9th. Mitchell had an impressive opening round, recording a 71 (-1), boasting three birdies and 13 pars.
 
Nichols received scores of 76 & 79 from Cameron Desante (T-40th), 81 & 77 (58th) from Evan Libby, and 82 & 81 (T-68th) from Jake Goldberg, with Luke Sargent's 86 & 88 rounding out the field (99th).
 
Nichols will now prepare for its spring slate, including the hosting duties for the CCC Championships which is set to take place in April of 2023.
