The Nichols College golf team placed third at the Susquehanna Invitational this past weekend at the Susquehanna Valley Country Club.
 
Junior TJ Barber led the Bison and tied for the fourth-lowest mark at +8, finishing day one at +2 and day two at +6. Classmate Patrick Hesseltine was next for head coach Tim Howard as he finished +10, which was the sixth-lowest score. He shot a 79 on the first day and a 75 on the second day.
 
Sophomore Jacob Willis was third for NC, finishing at +12 to earn a share of eighth place. Sophomore Reece McLeod shared ninth place (+13) while senior Colton Hudson shared 11th place (+15).
 
Three things you need to know...
            -Hunter Mickatavage (Rosemont) captured first place after defeating teammate Mike Lange in a playoff. Both finished the event at +4.
            -Rosemont won the event with a score of 606 – seven strokes ahead of Lebanon Valley College (613) and 11 ahead of the Bison (617).
            -With this weekend's performance, Hesseltine lowered his season average from 78 to 77.
