The Nichols College golf team finished in sixth place at the Westport Hampton Inn Invite Saturday afternoon at Allendale Country Club in North Dartmouth, Massachusetts.

Sophomore Jacob Willis led the Bison and finished tied for seventh at +10, shooting an 80 on day one and a 74 on day two. Classmate Reece McLeod was next for the Bison in a tie for 14th place at +14 (77-81), followed by senior Colton Hudson, who finished at +20 (80-84) to earn a share of 37th place.

Juniors Patrick Hesseltine (t-41st place, +21) and TJ Barber (t-57th place, +27) closed out the field for head coach Tim Howard.

Three things you need to know...
            -Gavin Dugas of Husson was a medalist as he capped the event at +3 (73-74).
            -Fellow Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) institution Roger Williams placed third (+57) while Endicott was fifth (+59) and Western New England tied for eighth (+67).
            -Two years ago, Hesseltine finished this event at +24 while Barber was +31.
