ResultsDARTMOUTH, Mass. – The Nichols College golf team placed 10th at the Hampton Inn Collegiate Invite Saturday at Allendale Country Club. The Bison finished with a team score of 666 (+90).
Senior
Kevin Wheeler (Agawam, Mass.) – who shot a 75 on Friday – recorded an 87 on Saturday and finished in 15th place (162; +18). Sophomore
Nick Wage (Holden, Mass.) shot an 83 – three strokes off Friday's pace – to finish in a tie for 16th (163; +19).
Freshman
Remy Fletcher (Billerica, Mass.) cut two strokes off Friday's 86 and finished tied for 37th (170; +26). Freshman
Brandon Bell (Leominster, Mass.) shot an 84 on Saturday, which was seven strokes better than Friday's total and left him in a tie for 56th place (175; +31). Classmate
Dylan Casserly (Braintree, Mass.) rounded out the Nichols golfers with a 91 to bring his two-day total to 178 (87-91; +34).
Rhode Island College won the event with a team score of 641 (+65), followed by Endicott and Salem State in second place. Each institution finished with a score of 650 (+74).
Nichols competes at the Rich Korzec Memorial Invite on Tuesday.
