GRANBY, Mass. – The Nichols College golf team captured fourth place at the 2014 Elms College Blazer Invitational Wednesday at Westover Golf Course.

The Bison recorded a team score of 323, which trailed only Rhode Island College (309), Castleton (312), and Elms (319). Senior Kevin Wheeler (Agawam, Mass.) finished three-over par (75), which earned him a share of fourth place.

Freshman Michael Costa (Carver, Mass.) was next for Nichols with an 82 (+10). Classmate John Gersualdi was next with a 91, followed by freshmen Kevin Leary (Brookfield, Conn.) and Brandon Bell (Leominster, Mass.), who each shot an 83 (+11).

Nichols returns to action on September 30 at the Westfield State Invitational.
