Kevin Wheeler (Agawam, Mass.) finished the second day of the Rhode Island College Invitational at +11 (83) to leas the Nichols College golf team to a 10th place finish Saturday at Triggs Memorial Golf Course. The Bison finished with a team score of 697.
Wheeler's two-day total of 165 (+19) placed him in a tie for 12thplace overall. Freshman
Colin Whitney (Longmeadow, Mass.) shaved seven strokes off Friday's score and finished the afternoon at +14, bringing his two-day total to 177, which place him in a tie for 46th place.

Bobby Lucy (Fitchburg, Mass.) was next for the Bison as he shot a 93 (+21; 178), followed by senior captain
Matthew Quigley (Sturbridge, Mass.) in a tie for 49th place at +21 (93; 180). Freshman
Benjamin Ilg (Bristol, R.I.) rounded out the Nichols squad with a four-stroke improvement from yesterday's round at +18 (90; 184).
Junior Rob Donahoe (Canton, Mass.) fired a two-day score of 151 (76, 75; +7) and earned medalist honors to lead Middlebury College to a first-place finish. At the end of Saturday's events, Donahoe stood in a tie with senior teammate William Prince (New Canaan, Conn.), who led the field after the first day of competition. Donahoe edged out his teammate Prince (75, 76; 151) in the tiebreaker to take home medalist honors.
Elms College junior Henry Fall (Harpswell, Maine) stormed from behind and posted a 73 on the second day of competition to lead all golfers on Saturday. Fall totaled a 152 (79, 73; +8) and finished third overall, while Middlebury junior Max Alley (Albany, N.Y.) registered a 157 (77, 80; +13) to place fourth. Endicott College senior Jackson Wyman (South Freeport, Maine) fired a 159 (78, 81; +15) to finish fifth.
