DUDLEY, Mass. (Sept. 15) – Nichols College sophomore John Juterbock (Darien, Conn.) fired a four-over 76 to lead the Bison golf team to a first place finish at a home quad 'B' match at the Dudley Hill Golf Course Wednesday afternoon. Nichols carded a team 326 to finish ahead of Wentworth (339), Elms (341) and Suffolk (353).
In his first match with the Bison, Juterbock finished three strokes ahead of Elms sophomore Tyler Cudnick, who finished with a 79 (+7). Wentworth sophomore John Romanelli and Elms first year Eddie Innarelli each carded an 81 to finish tied for third. Suffolk sophomore Patrick Knowles was the top finisher for the Rams with an 86 (+10).
Bison sophomore Matt Quigley (Sturbridge, Mass.) and senior Jake Hubley (Auburn, Mass.) aided Nichols with identical scores of 83, where each cut three strokes off their scores on the back nine. Senior Brent Riehl (Cheshire, Conn.) posted and 84, and Frank Kourtis (Natick, Mass.) rounded out the Bison squad with an 85.
Nichols is back in action Friday and Saturday at the Duke Nelson Invitational hosted by Middlebury College.
