NEW LONDON, Conn. (Oct. 13) – The Nichols College golf team finished third in a quad match at Mitchell Wednesday afternoon. Led by a fourth-place finish by Jake Hubley (Auburn, Mass.), the Bison combined for a 335.
Hubley shot an 81 (+10), while John Juterbock (Darien, Conn.) was one shot back in a tie for fifth. Joe Gallagher (Hopewell, Jct., N.Y.) and Matt Quigley (Sturbridge, Mass.) tied for 12th, each with an 86. Brent Reihl (Cheshire, Conn.) rounded out the scoring with a 98.
Anna Maria took top team honors with a 321, while Rhode Island College placed second with a 333. Host Mitchell finished with a 381. The AMCATS' Nathan McNamara took top individual honors with a 77 (+6).
Nichols is back in action on Saturday and Sunday at the NEIGA Championship at The Captains Golf Course in Brewster, Mass.
