For Nichols (2-21-1, 1-17-1 ECAC East), freshmen Mandy Manopla (Wellington, Fla.) and Kayla Robidoux (Cumberland, R.I.) netted a goal and an assist apiece. Senior Allison Peters (Westford, Mass.) also scored for Nichols, while freshman Haylie Carter (Forney, Texas) handed out a pair of assists. Freshman Christine Mazza (Dedham, Mass.) stopped 26 shots in net in the loss.

In addition to Adams, seniors playing in their final home game for the Purple Knights were: Shannon Murphy (Wellesley, Mass./Wellesley), Amy Schoon (Southborough, Mass./Algonquin Regional), Ashley Sutton (Sherborn, Mass./Proctor Academy), and Jess Tourville (Baltimore, Md./Springfield). For Tourville, who had an assist, the game was the 100th of her collegiate career.

Saint Michael's opened the scoring 6:16 into the contest, converting on the game's first power play chance. Regan wristed a shot from between the circles that sailed over Mazza's left shoulder for her third goal of the season. Less than four minutes later, the Purple Knights doubled their lead, as Losi jammed a rebound past Mazza for her fourth goal of the year.

The score remained 2-0 Saint Michael's until 7:39 into the second period, when the Bison lit the lamp just seven seconds after a power play expired. Less than three minutes later, however, Saint Michael's did the same thing, as Adams scored her second goal of the season just five seconds after a Purple Knights' power play ended. The hosts pushed their lead to 4-1 a couple of minutes later, with Paquin connecting for a power play score, her second goal of the year, which proved to be the game-winner.

Nichols countered with 2:35 left in the frame, as Manopla redirected a pass past Goldman for the even-strength tally. And the Bison pulled to within 4-3 early in the third period on Robidoux's power play score, but Nichols could not net the equalizer, despite pulling Mazza for the final 20 seconds of the contest.

Saint Michael's returns to action on Saturday, as the Purple Knights play their final regular season game, at in-state rival Norwich University for a 12:30 p.m. contest. Nichols closes out its regular season on Saturday with a 2 p.m. ECAC East contest at Castleton State College
