HEBRON, Conn.-- The Nichols College men's golf team posted a composite low team score of 603 to win the Trinity College Golf Invitational Sunday at Blackledge Country Club. The Bison were led by junior Pat Pio (Somers, Conn.), who took individual honors with a one-over-par total score of 145 (72, 73) in the two-day, 36-hole tournament.

Senior Chris Healy (Charlton, Mass.) shared second on the individual leader board with Babson College junior Fernando Pineres, both finishing with scores of 149. Babson finished second with a team score of 606. Host Trinity College placed third with a team score of 608.

Other top individual finishers for Nichols included sophomore Shawn Santos (Agawam, Mass.), who placed tied for eighth with a two-day total of 153 (78, 75).

The Bison are back in action on Friday, September 12, when they host Mitchell, Anna Maria and Suffolk in a B match at Dudley Hill Golf Course at noon.
