GROTON, Conn. – The Nichols College golf team placed second out of four teams at the Mitchell College Invitational Wednesday, finishing with a composite 327, one stroke behind leader Becker College. Senior Christopher Healy (Charlton, Mass.) led the Bison with a 76, while sophomore Joshua Paulhus (Sutton, Mass.) finished three strokes behind with a 79.
Sophomore Daniel Cafasso (Prospect, Conn.) and junior Bruce Carter (Worcester, Mass.) each finished with an 86 to round out the Nichols squad.
The Mitchell team finished third with a score of 353, and Daniel Webster placed fourth with a 370. Mitchell's Matt Burke took medalist honors with a 74.
Nichols is back in action at Dudley Hill Golf Course Friday when the Bison host Brandeis, Endicott and Tufts at noon.
