DUDLEY, Mass. – The Nichols College golf team won its first home match of the season, defeating Suffolk, Mitchell and Anna Maria at the Dudley Hills Golf Course Friday afternoon. Junior Shawn Santos (Agawam, Mass.) took medalist honors with a 74 to lead the Bison, who shot a composite-low 304. Anna Maria placed second as a team with 329, while Suffolk came in third with a 34, and Mitchell fourth with a 372.

The Bison (2-0) filled out the top three, with Cole Ruwe (Pekin, Ill.) placing second with a 75 and Dan Cafasso (Prospect, Conn.) coming in third with a 76. Bruce Carter (Worcester, Mass.) rounded out the top five in the match with a 79.

Nichols is back in action at Mitchell on Wednesday, September 17.
